ProjectTRACKER Help - Profiles

The Profiles page allows setting up the overall team and location setup and defines also a resource / user cost structure. Each ProjectTRACKER User has a Location and a Cost Group assigned. Typically the cost structure reflects a budgetary estimate, and not the detailed salary of an individual user. Locations can be used in he sense of geographic locations, but also in the sense of different program or project teams, which should be separated. The separation might be also important from the visibility of the data in between these teams / sites.

Notes: Only the ProjectTRACKER administrator can can see and use this functionality!

Locations / Teams Grid

ID ID of location record.
Name Name of team or location / site.
Description description of team or location / site.
Country Associated country wide calendar.
Location / Team Holiday Profile Holiday profile in the form {Holidays Jan}_{Holidays Feb} … _{Holidays Dec}1) with {Holidays} the average number of holiday or absence days for this location or team in this month. The sum of the absence days should reflect the total number of holidays or absence days per year for this location or team. The profile can be used for net capacity calculations in Auto and Schedule pages, when the exact holidays of the team is not known yet.
Hours per Day Defines the working hours per day for this team or location / site. Note: The number of working days per week is defined via a PHP constant TR_DAYSPERWEEK, and is set to 5 per default.
Delete Delete location record.
Update Store location entries.
Cancel Reload page without storing.

Note: Deleting a location will delete also all information associated to this location!

Cost Groups Grid

ID ID of cost group record.
Name Name of cost group.
Description Description of cost group.
Yearly Costs Budgetary yearly cost estimate for this cost group.
Daily Costs Calculated daily cost for this cost group based on Yearly Costs and the current number of days per year.
FTE Full Time Equivalent for this cost group. The FTE us used in the Plan page to calculate the effective head count, which is typically 0 for e.g. consultants.
Delete Delete location record.
Update Store location entries.
Cancel Reload page without storing.

Note: Deleting a cost group will delete also all information associated to this cost group!

Countries Grid

ID ID of country record.
Name Country name.
Public Holidays Number of holidays defined for this country. Clicking on the link will open the Absence country holiday page.
